Testimonials
Mark Duckenfield | AIB Street Performance World Championship
Front page of the Irish Times, the Irish Independent and 6 other national newspapers on top of a slot on RTE news, Channel 4 news and Sky news … all from one photocall. There is no question that Layla is one of the main reasons that 85,000 people attended the 2008 Street Performance World Championship. So, are we going to work with her again? You bet. With coverage like that, we’d be bonkers not to…. Layla is a pleasure to work with and went beyond the call of duty to ensure that we got as much coverage as possible.
Brendan Rice | Marketing Director | Kilkenny Arts Festival
In 2009 Layla dragged the festival kicking and screaming into the 21st Century by launching us onto the social media platforms. Having developed a comprehensive communication plan she set about giving the festival an engaging and exciting presence on social media in a manner that wasn’t just about flogging tickets. Working closely with our PR agent, Layla made sure that we maximised the coverage for all communications initiatives. And the results speak for themselves: 1500 Facebook fans, 260 Twitter Followers, over 4,000 hits on the blog. We are looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us in 2010!
Wolfgang Hoffmann | Director | Dublin Fringe Festival 2005-2007
I had the pleasure of working with Layla over three years and came to appreciate her as a smart, funny and extremely hard working collegue with a deep understanding for the arts and an intoxicating way of communicating it. Her talents are a rare combination of the sensibilities and inventiveness of an artist with the pragmatism and can-do-attitude of a producer.
With little resources she realised one of the boldest marketing stunts Dublin has seen in recent years by dying the River Liffey in bright pink, which brought us an unprecedented media coverage. As Marketing Manager she made most efficient use of her budget, inspired her collegues and conducted a unique and highly memorable campaign.
Deborah Dignam | Director | Kinsale Arts Week 2007-2008
Layla skilfully creates campaigns of originality and lasting impact utilising all of her combined talents as both an artist and effective communicator. She brings passsion, enthusiasm and commitment to each of her projects and quickly builds relationships of trust with clients, artists and press. I have worked with Layla on various and diverse projects and have always found her to be extremely professional, driven and a pleasure to work with. She thrives in intense environments and is extremely competent in relationship management.
Ronan Wilmot | Artistic Director | The New Theatre
It is wonderful and pretty unique to come across someone with a deep,
genuine passion for theatre and her profession.
Raymond Keane (Artistic Director) & Maria Flemming (General Manager) | Barabbas Theatre Company
Layla worked with us on our production of Circus. We work with Layla for very simple reasons – she’s very good at her job and she’s very good to work with. Can’t say more than that can you?!
